ON HOLIDAY? HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN DO

North Devon is a special place. It is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is part of the WWF UK Seas Project.

North Devon also welcomes approximately five million visitors each year. At Plastic Free North Devon we feel it is important to raise awareness of the impact that this huge increase in population (particularly over the summer months) has on the environment, specifically with regards to the amount of single use plastic bought and discarded.

We ask that visitors to the area share the important role in preserving our beautiful part of the world and also to ensure that what we do here doesn’t impact the global environment. We also want to encourage visitors take the message home and share it with friends, family and communities.

MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE

We think our water tastes great here in North Devon so carry your own reusable water bottle to refill when you are out and about. Look out for the Refill logo.
